North Zone | Raghabpur St. Paul's Old Students Association

To rejuvenate and activate the Raghabpur St. Paul's Old Students Association, a visit was made at the initiative of Fr. Thottam, S.J., the past president. The following 7 persons went from Kolkata: Fr. A. Mitra, Fr. Thottam, Naresh Gupta, Jeetu Rampuria, Deepak Bajaj, Rajendra Raja and Abhijeet Das.

The group started on 22nd September at 9.20 am from St. Lawrence High School and reached Raghabpur at 10.40 am. They were warmly welcomed by Fr. Tapan Gomes and members of Raghabpur Association.

Fr. Tapan welcomed every one. Fr. Mitra read a peace prayer. Fr. Thottam initiated the process. Self introduction was done. Naresh Gupta, Secretary North Zone, informed about the National and Zonal structures. He also presented certificate of registration of Raghabpur Association with the national Federation. Jeetu Rampuria spoke about forthcoming World Congress preparations. Members of the Raghabpur informed the group about their internal problems, difficuties etc. An interactive session followed between the two groups. On behalf of three Kolkata associations, Naresh Gupta offered subsidy in the registration by the Raghabpur members for the World Congress. All the members were requested to attend the preperatory meeting for World Congress called by the Province Co-ordinator on Sunday, 29th Sepember, 2002.

Snacks and tea was served by the host association and a trip to the premises was done. Kolkata group wanted to have a picnic during winters, which was gladly accepted by Raghabpur members.
